EmilyHi, I’m Emily! I cook for myself (vegetarian, recently gluten-free) and my husband (a carnivore who is slowly learning to like vegetables) in Portland, Oregon. We’ve both learned quite a bit in the kitchen: lessons about food (he’ll eat cooked carrots only if they’re blended up in soup) and lessons about love (how to compromise; the importance of effective communication).

I love to cook with produce fresh from the farmer’s market or (even better) my garden. I love making food that tastes delicious and makes me feel great. We’ve learned to adapt recipes to suit our (opposing) picky tastes, and have recently been obsessed with learning new Indian and Mediterranean recipes.
