I’m not sure where this originally came from (if you know, comment and I’ll update with the source!) but a friend sent this to me as a great holiday cocktail idea. I love the idea of cranberries and gin, and the color is so festive!
1/2 c Fresh Cranberries
1/4 c Granulated Sugar
2 Tbsp water
1 whole lime peel (medium lime)
3 c (24 oz) Gin
Tonic water for serving.(~4 c)
Bring cranberries, sugar, and water ti a simmer over medium.
Cook, stirring often, until the cranberries burst (6 min)
Pour into large pitcher.
Stir in 1 whole lime peel and Gin
Cover and refrigerate for 5 days, then strain.
To Serve: Pour 1/4 c of the gin mixture over ice in tall glass. Top with 1/3 c Tonic Water.
Makes 3 Cups.
