Creme Caramel (purin)

Creme Caramel aka Purin in Japan is a very popular dessert. The word purin came from pudding but it’s very different from the pudding you find in the US grocery stores. Purin is very similar to flan with just a slight different in texture and taste. I want to share this easy purin recipe and since it’s one of my family’s favorite desserts.

From the original site: My husband and my kids like lighter caramel sauce but I personally like dark and bitter caramel sauce like this… When you caramelize, make sure not to make it really dark, because it will be too bitter.
