This would be a great easy dessert for date night!

Maybe paired with that apple flavored Candied Bacon Martini?

Oatmeal Stuffed Apples for 2

Ingredients:

2 Golden Delicious apples
2 Packs of instant oatmeal (your personal favorite will do)
1/2 Cup packed brown sugar
2 Tablespoon of butter
Pinch of cinnamon/clove/nutmeg to your taste
1/2 Cup of orange juice

How to make them:

Core out apples a little more than normal and slice the bottom off so it will sit level

Melt butter and mix with dry ingredients, including the oatmeal

Stuff the apples with the oatmeal mixture and place in a small baking dish, then pour orange juice into the bottom of the dish

Cover tightly with foil tenting the top so the foil doesn’t touch the apples

Bake in a toaster oven at 375 for 1 hour

Remove from dish and place on serving plate

Take the juice from the bottom of the baking dish and place it in a pan and reduce to a syrup

Spoon syrup over the apples and serve
