Pumpkin Pie à la Moi

This recipe came to be because of a simple shopping error: I bought sweetened condensed milk instead of evaporated milk. So, I improvised. Since the condensed milk was already sweet, I didn’t add sugar; instead, I chose to add a tablespoon of honey. Then, I messed around with all of the other ingredients until the mix seemed right.

I hope that you enjoy it!

Ingredients:
1 pie crust
1 15oz can pumpkin
1 14oz can sweetened condensed milk
2 eggs
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp ginger
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp cloves
1 tbs honey

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees fahrenheit.

2. Mix ingredients and pour into pie shell.

3. Bake in oven for 15 minutes.

4. Reduce heat to 350.

5. Bake for 45 minutes.

6. Cool, serve, and enjoy!
