Desserts have somehow been an enigma for me. Yes, there are loads of recipes out there. All one needs to do is follow them! However, not all ingredients nor equipment is available readily to me. Hence there is a massive lack of experience here….I do need to start somewhere though!

There is also the consideration towards the ‘not-really needed’ calories! I do enjoy eating them though (oops!)…. occasionally so.

Such being the deciding factors – the dessert I decide on, has got be egg-free, easy to prepare and needing simple familiar ingredients too!

The occasion happened to be my H’s birthday.
