Romantic Date Night: Decor & Recipes!

With Valentine’s Day coming up, our thoughts turn to romance.  But man, getting a table (and one that won’t cost an arm and a leg, packed in like sardines) at your favorite fancy bistro can be difficult… Here’s Nicole‘s answer to a romantic date night, when you decide to stay in and cook at home, but want the evening to be extra special.

Nicole writes: Friday was our 16th anniversary and due to circumstances out of our control we weren’t able to go out to our favorite restaurant as planned. I decided to go over-the-top romantic and make a really nice dinner and romantic environment at home. I didn’t want to skimp, or break the bank, and you’d be amazed at how special you can make things with a few luxe details and what you have on hand.

Go check out her ideas for making a romantic dinner tablescape, to take their minds off the ordinary every day stuff… and her romantic menu of Roasted Shrimp with Feta, heart shaped baguette, and Saltine Toffee.  These would be great for anniversaries, special date nights, and of course, Valentine’s Day!
