I recently discovered Plate Fodder (thanks for Submitting your site!) and I thought this was a fun and interesting concoction… A great combo of a pastry and a bread pudding.

As for the runner up – I decided to treat the bread pudding as more of a mash up between a Charlotte and a Charlotte Russse. Using stale bread for the crust and structure, and surrounding the fruit filling with a custard and baking it.
